I received an amateurish email message from whitehouse.gov to complete a survey one day before the "president" was scheduled to give a "state of the union address". It looked like spam, and I almost deleted it. However, considering the source, I thought it might not be. So I clicked on the link on a secure, from my side, connection. There before me was a survey or poll, something the president is highly skeptical of believing in, unless constructed as this one was. Curious, I read on and did my best to complete it.

I clicked on the Share-your-thoughts button; the form reset (making re-submitting infinite) and did not confirm that my input had been sent. In retrospect, the fact that I did not tick off any of the choices given to me for the first questions, I wondered if a null response counted as disagreement or disapproval. The smartest man in the world, other than
Greg Proops, seems to have authored(?) a less than social-scientific way for this commoner to communicate with him. SAD!!
